What GetOpenAIDots is

GetOpenAIDots is an independent guide to OpenAI dots, the always-on agents in ChatGPT that OpenAI launched on September 29, 2026. We are not OpenAI, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. The official page for dots is chatgpt.com/dots.

Dots only works on some plans and in some countries, and OpenAI hasn't published a full list. Most people arrive with the same questions: can I use it, what does it cost, why can't I see it. That's what this site is for.

What we do

• We track who can use dots, what it costs, and what changes, in plain language.
• We built an eligibility checker so you can see in 30 seconds whether your plan and country are covered.
• We log every change to dots on a dated news page.
• We link to OpenAI's own pages wherever we can, so you can check things yourself.

How we check facts

Every guide lists its sources at the bottom and shows the date it was last checked.

• OpenAI's announcements and Help Center come first.
• When something only appears in news reports or user posts, we say "reportedly" and link the report.
• When we can't tell, we say we don't know instead of guessing.
• We only change a page's date when its content actually changes.

We haven't tested dots ourselves. Where a guide describes how something works, it is based on OpenAI's own description.

What we don't do

• We don't offer ways around OpenAI's plan or country limits, and we don't recommend VPNs for that.
• We don't sell access to dots or claim to be any OpenAI product.
• We don't give investment or purchase advice. We tell you what OpenAI says and what's reported, and you decide.
